Mitochondrial Disease

It is almost as common as cystic fibrosis, yet even those in the medical profession are struggling to understand mitochondrial disease.

With approximately one hundred different strands of the disease and a myriad of symptoms, Michelle Rumery investigates why patients with mitochondrial disease are left to suffer with no cure, very few treatments and often an incorrect or delayed diagnosis.
